Manager Trust & Safety in Groningen

We are looking for a Manager Trust and Safety to grow and develop the world's most trusted global marketplace for special items.

You will lead the formulation and execution of an advanced trust policy as well as the communication of it to all sellers and buyers. In addition, you will play a critical role in partnering internally with cross functional team members across customer service, product, analytics, legal, PR/communications and more.

What you do
As our new Manager Trust and Safety, you are responsible for all online and offline fraud and safety concerns, including but not limited to seller and buyer integrity, safety, and user trust. Besides that, you are responsible for:

• Design, develop, and execute upon a global, best-in-class Trust and Safety strategy that integrates product, analytics, customer service, sales and our auctioneer team to ensure the overall safety of our online and offline customer experience as well as ensuring our users have peace of mind when incidents do occur.

• Develop policies for sellers and buyers with key stakeholders across the organization to enable trust and safety to be continually enhanced

• Collaborate with legal and PR/Communications as needed to respond to online & offline trust and safety issues effectively.

• Develop and maintain a productive relationship with outsourced providers, key stakeholders and effectively source and leverage resources to manage workload and customer demand.

• Work closely with the Legal team on engagement with law enforcement authorities, regulators and legislators on safety, security and law enforcement issues as needed.

• Track, analyze and accurately respond to a variety of legal requests for user data, working directly with law enforcement authorities, government agencies and court officials including search warrants, court orders, subpoenas and government requests.

Who you are
If you want to be our Manager of Trust and Safety you will have at least a:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Trust and Safety, Fraud and/or Risk Management related role.

• Proven track record in operations management, with a measurable and demonstrable track record of process improvement.

• Experience working with product/engineering, analytics and IT teams to inform and develop business needs to improve trust across the platform as well as operational effectiveness and response time

• Industry experience in e-commerce, sharing economy and/or an online market-place

• Experience working with global teams

• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams

• Can rapidly develop customer understanding and empathy for both sides of a transaction

• Strong communication skills, both internally and externally

• Can represent our company well externally to key stakeholders – sellers, buyers, law enforcement etc.

• You are a strategic thinker who can go from vision to execution

• Analytical mindset and the ability to work closely with country managers, product, and customer service teams.

• Flexible/Adaptable and willing to embrace change and willingness to roll up sleeves and work closely with teams.
